1The USGS Earth Explorer site contains download options for GMTED2010, GTOPO30, & IFSAR Alaska data under the "Digital Elevation" Data Set.
The selection of data is performed through a web interface that is easy to navigate: To narrow your search area: type in an address or place name, enter coordinates or click the map to define your search area (for advanced map tools, view the help documentation, and/or choose a date range.
ASTER & SRTM1/3/30 data are currently found under the "NASA LPDAAC Collections" Data Set of the USGS Earth Explorer site but are scheduled to be removed in 2024.

2 SRTM data is slated to be removed from the USGS Earth Explorer site in 2024. Data can be found on the NASA LPDAAC collections linked in the table above. Files are named according to latitude and longitude (NW corner).

3 The USGS NED data over US can be downloaded through the USGS National Map Viewer.  Data are downloaded in compressed GeoTIFF format which is not supported by TERREL. Data files must be decompressed before being used.

4Canadian terrain data in DEM format (CDED), compatible with TERREL, is no longer available through Canada's Open Government portal. Lakes Environmental Software CALPUFF View users can access these files via WebGIS.

The complete list of data formats supported by TERREL is:
